Comedy Cottage

Top TV circuit & International comedians perform alongside rising stars of the future. We always aim for a smorgasbord of a line-up, offering something for everyone. On the last Friday of the month, the Comedy Cottage take over our largest function room bringing you the hottest local comedians from the circuit. Tickets are just £11 and doors open at 7.30pm.

All 'Opera: Le Corsaire

From Teatro Alla Scala: Le Corsaire follows the swashbuckling adventures of a dashing pirate who journeys across the high seas to save his beloved from the Pasha’s harem with danger looming at every turn. With lavish sets and costumes, the choreography mirrors Russian ballet master Maris Petipa’s revival from 19th century St. Petersburg. Full of action, passion and a romantic twist form the heart of this unmissable ballet.

Opéra national de Paris: Boris Godounov (Live)

In 1824, when Pushkin turned to Boris Godounov for his first historical drama, he knew well the colossus he was tackling. Armed with his reading of Shakespeare, Pushkin retold the epic history of the dazzling reign of the Tzar of Russia (1598-1605).

Bolshoi Ballet: Coppelia (Live)

The Bolshoi’s unique version of Coppélia exhibits a fascinating reconstruction of the original 19th century choreography of this ebullient comedy involving a feisty heroine, a boyish fiancee with a wandering eye, and an old dollmaker. The company’s stunning corps de ballet shines in the divertissements and famous “dance of the hours,” and its principals abound in youthful energy and irresistible humor in this effervescent production.
